This economy sucks and just proves why we need stores like Wal Mart in the city. It would help a lot of people get by easier. I know that's hard for some of you hipster wannabes to figure out.

I went to the previous visioning meeting for the McMillan Site and encourage anyone who hasn't yet been to one of these meetings to go. There are some surprising pulls...not what you might expect (at least I didn't). For example, there was a huge presence from the surrounding medical community (how many hospitals do we have off of Michigan?) looking for more space.

I am generally pleased with the assembled team, which includes a strong historic pres component, and a retail advisory group with an urban focus.

Hold your breath people. This project will be a long ways off.
