art + illustration (and Bloomingdalian!) Marcella Kriebel - Recharged and Ready to GO!

See this message from Bloomingdalian Marcella Kriebel:

Recharged And Ready
To GO

I've recently returned from a refreshing trip to the Pacific Northwest and I'm now back in DC and ready for longer days, spring happenings, and the release of my new collection of watercolors for 2018. I'm thrilled to see my garden starts taking off with the beginning of the season and to welcome people into my studio during the Brookland Farmers Market each Saturday.
This spring, along with my new prints, comes the creation of a larger-than-life mural soon to appear in DC. Take a dive into what's new below and remember Mother's Day is right around the corner!
Snack Goals, Succulents, and More
Is it picnic season yet? I created a fancy cheese platter to compliment the wine and beer in the collection, which is among 8 new prints now available.

Think about gifts for that upcoming housewarming party and for the much deserving moms in your life!

I'll be painting a mural in the neighborhood of NoMa, Washington, DC.

  • On my Culture Calendar: Artes de Cuba at the Kennedy Center:
For two weeks this May, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will present Artes de Cuba: From the Island to the World, a festival celebrating the artistic richness that has emerged from this "island archipelago in the sun." It brings together Cuban and Cuban-American artists and represents some of the world's greatest from the island and the Diaspora. I'll be there!
  • On my Podcast Feed: April has been national Poetry Month. Give a listen to this interview and poems by Poet Laureate Raquel Salas Rivera, in English and Spanish. She is so very talented.
  • In the Kitchen: My pick for the Best Spring Salad Dressing is this Green Goddess Dressing by Samin Nosrat.  It is quick and delish on salad but works great the day after as a dip or as a spread on a sandwich. Yum!
