Supporting Bloomingdale Businesses during the DC Water NEBT project
During
the Season of Giving and Shop Small add #shopbloomingdale to your list by
supporting a Bloomingdale Business.
The
Northeast Boundary Tunnel (NEBT) project has had a negative impact on local
businesses. The construction along Rhode Island Avenue and Florida
Ave impedes pedestrian access, reduces parking, reduces ride share
drop-offs, and restricts the view of storefronts from the street.
Small
businesses in Bloomingdale need our support. Bloomingdale offers a variety of
retail within walking distance of our community. Types of Local Businesses in
and around Bloomingdale include:
·
Convenience stores
·
Restaurants (dine-in/carryout)· Bars
· Coffee shops
· Dry cleaners
· Wines and spirits
· Bakeries
· Shops and Retail
How
can you help?
·
Patronize a business you don’t normally support.
·
Encourage friends, family and neighbors to support Bloomingdale businesses· Promote your support on social media
· Don’t assume the “We’re Open” sign means the business is thriving
