Damien's brand new Strawberry Chocolate Macaron at Panorama

Hi BFM Fans,

Damien at Panorama is on fire since he took over the stand and this week he created THREE new desserts for us this Sunday-- Strawberry Chocolate French macarons made with a puree of Garner's strawberries and a dark chocolate ganache. Plus a Breton (he's from Brittany) square apple tarte from local Granny Smith apples. Plus a classic French Creme Brulee.    (He was trained as a pastry chef in France).

Please spread the word to your friends and neighbors that we are open Sundays and Reid turns itself into an impressive popup Plant Nursery for much of May --see the bottom of the email for more details.  Groff's Content has some new cuts of lamb and beef.

NEW this week:

  • This week Garner will start Sugar Snap Peas, white turnips and chard -
  • Number 1 Sons will have FOUR kinds of Cucumber Pickles-
  • Whisked has added Strawberry Rhubarb pie, the epitome of Spring
  • Shenandoah's Greens are making the most of this cooler weather- and they dill, parsley, cilantro and green garlic.

Have you ever tried Kuku Sabzi, the Persian omelette that is green with herbs? This is a good month for it with our eggs and all the different herbs you can chop into it. Easy to make, good for brunch and very pretty. Samin Nosrat's uses green garlic which we have at Shenandoah. She calls it a fried pie of herbs and greens because it is much more greens bound by eggs than the reverse in a classic omelette.

Here is a sample of what we will have at market:

Looking forward to seeing eveyone in person.
