I'm actually very suprised that this place hasn't been turned into a restaurant of some sort. Seems perfect. It has the possibility of sidewalk seating. Neighbors will flock to it. A diner anyone? La Loma 5?
We have noticed some art hanging in the downstair window of this building...and lights on in the evening upstairs. Could it be that something is happening? Anything?
i think the upstairs is either being rented or was sold separately. either way, yep somebody is in there.
as for EC-12. i have hear that the contracts are done, the building is sold officially. and permits are being worked on. cant remember where i heard that. since it was city owned property, things have happened slowly.
big bear- i was told that the stop work order was being resolved and it should be open within two months.
Neighbors already flock to it, drinking 40s on milk creates in front of it all day.
ReplyDeleteso all we need are the keys and a mop and we're in business.

I live in the unit upstairs. The landlord has said they are interested in finding a nice sit-down restaurant to occupy the space on the first floor.
