*****update:
NOW we're talking!
our neighborhoods entry is pretty weak, no? compare it to eckingtons entry
It even lists bloomingdaledc.org as our neighborhood website.
perhaps whoever writes that site could update it a bit beyond 2006, nudge nudge.....
; )
Give us your best shot! That is the point of Wikipedia. Anyone can edit it. Just click the 'Edit this page' button at the top.
ReplyDeleteas evidenced by this blog, i'm a horrible writer.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know what the deal is with "bloomingdaledc.org"?
ReplyDeleteIt is my understanding that Memo Saenz started bloomingdaledc.org.
ReplyDeleteI am planning to start a neighborhood business directory. That's something Memo started but, as mentioned, has not updated.
(Sean, sorry if this post shows up more than once...something weird is going on when I try to send it.)
it's good to see that the bloomingdale entry has a little more bones to be worked with! i'll have to do some tweaking here and there...
ReplyDeleteI gave it a good start and plan on continuing to add info as I obtain it. Much of what is there was passed along from John Sallati. Some comes from internet research and BloomingdaleDC.org. I need to add references and photos (as soon as I can figure out how to do that). It's open-source so please lend a hand. I've tried to exclude any neighborhood negatives (of which there are few) or controversial topics (i.e, gentrification and brick side walks :)). Trying to essentially just stick to the facts.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear, HipChick - thanks for putting it together.
