donating a used car
From a resident of the unit block of R Street NW:
Does anyone have recommendations on donating a used car so that the charity actually gets whatever value there is and not 90% to a middle-man organization?
I work for an organization called Playworks, a nonprofit that provides safe, healthy, and inclusive play at elementary schools in DC and across the U.S. We accept car donations through America's Car Donation Center. We receive a large portion of the car's value and the organization has proven itself very reputable. I suggest that you visit www.playworks.org/donate and wwww.donateacar.com. -Allison, a fellow Bloomingdale resident
Cars4Charities guarantees that the charitiy will receive at least 65% of the sale price of the car donation. They pay all towing and auction fees. They also set minimum bids on cars that are sold at acution.
