fake Pepco worker attempts to gain access through deception on Bryant St NW

Fake Pepco worker tried to gain entry to our house.

On Tuesday [5/8/2012] a young man knocked on our door (We live on Bryant st NW) claiming to be from Pepco and demanded that our nanny give him the key to our basement apartment to ``make repairs.``  She was, of course, suspicious and refused.  He eventually left in a small white car and she called us at work.  We, in turn, called Pepco, who confirmed that no one had been sent to our house.  (We reported the incident to the police, but they never sent a car to the house to get a description of the man from our nanny.)
