Neighbors,
Thank you for making our Happy Hour/Membership drive a huge success! We netted 28 new or renewing members! We also thank Rustik Tavern for hosting the event.
These past weeks have been challenging for many Bloomingdale residents: record heat, brown outs and storm related power outages and flooding. We will discuss these issues during our July meeting and expect to be joined by a DC Water representative. We will also consider and potentially vote on requests for support of zoning applications related to Big Bear Cafe and 2100 1st Street, NW as well as a request to support a street closure for a block party on T Street, NW. Please help us spread the word.
Pursuant to our Constitution we will not meet in August. We look forward to seeing you Monday evening!
Best,

Neighbors,
Please note that both Donna Cooper, a Regional Vice President with Pepco, and a representative from the Office of the Peoples counsel will attend the Bloomingdale Civic Association (BCA) meeting. This is a wonderful opportunity to voice your concerns about the recent storm related power outages as well as the brownouts and other service issues that have plagued Bloomingdale for some time. I thank Councilmember McDuffie and BCA 2nd Vice President, John Salatti, for arranging this opportunity. We look forward to seeing you Monday evening!

Are the minutes of the meeting available online anywhere? I am very much interested in the discussion regarding the flooding. Does anyone if its possible to file a suit against WASA, maybe a class action?
ReplyDeleteThe BCA will post the minutes from this meeting online. It may take a couple days to review and edit the minutes.
