Truxton Circle resident Anita Bonds newest DC At-Large Councilmember

Last night's news. Newer residents may not realize that she is a resident of Truxton Circle/Bates area, just south of Bloomingdale.  And, at least now, three of the four At-Large Councilmember are Ward 5 residents. 

Democrats pick Bonds for D.C. Council

Anita D. Bonds, 67, will fill the at-large seat vacated when Phil Mendelson was elevated in November to chairman. Bonds, long active in city and national Democratic politics, will serve pending a citywide special election set for April 23.
