McDuffie Holds Town Hall on Flood Hazard

What:                  Councilmember McDuffie will host a community town hall with DC Insurance Federation, Councilmember Jim Graham (D – Ward 1) Councilmember Vincent Orange (D – At-Large), and Councilmember Anita Bonds (D – At-Large) to educate residents in the more flood prone sections of the city as to why their homeowners policy is not “flood insurance” and what resources are available to help consumers find protection from flooding hazards.

                                "Flood Hazard Protection: What You Need to Know" panelists include representatives from: Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA); the DC Department of the Environment (DDOE); the DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB); and other industry leaders.
