Step forward and serve Bloomingdale as the Captain of your Block

Be a hero! Volunteer Block Captains help spread the word about community news, events, and important information in Bloomingdale. Arming your neighbors with COMMUNICATION and INFORMATION keeps our community safer, friendlier, and more connected.

Have fun! Block Captains are encouraged to take on as little or as much is needed to help keep neighbors informed or involved. While there are no specific expectations or benchmarks you must meet, a list of “Block Captain Best Practices” is available.

Join the team! When you (or you and a friend!) volunteer as a Block Captain or co-Captain, you have a direct line of information sharing and direction via The Bloomingdale Civic Association. And whether you can help cover a full block, half-block, apartment building or side of the street, ALL volunteer requests are considered. No block proposal is too large or too small.
