Greetings:

Following the April 24 Public Meeting on the Environmental Assessment for the First Street Tunnel portion of the Clean Rivers Project, DC Water will now embark on a series of walking tours with residents in many of the affected blocks as another way to reach out to those directly impacted, discuss those impacts, and also hear residents’ concerns.

As you will see in the attached meeting notice, the first block which we will visit is the 2200 block of Flagler Place, N.W. This meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday, May 7, from 6:00pm until 7:00pm.  The meeting location will be at Flagler Place, N.W. and W Street, N.W.  This afternoon, hard copies of the meeting notice were hand delivered to homes in the 2200 block of Flagler Place, N.W. and also to adjacent homes at the intersection with Adams Street, N.W.  The notice will be made available on our Bloomingdale/LeDroit Park web page tomorrow.

Once again, we will be meeting with residents in many of the directly impacted blocks, but we certainly invite you to attend this or any of the future meetings to be a part of the discussions, if desired.

Finally, for those of you who may not have reviewed the Environmental Assessment, this is also available on our Bloomingdale/LeDroit Park web page and open for public comments through May 15.  You may obtain the Environmental Assessment at www.dcwater.com/firststreettunnelea.

Thanks much, and please let us know of any questions or concerns.
