car broken into last Thursday/Friday on the unit block of P Street NE

From a household on the unit block of P Street NE:

Late Thursday night/Early Friday morning our car was broken into AGAIN. This time the window was shattered but there was nothing to steal. They went through our glove compartments and pulled everything out (phone cords, emergency flashlight, a few CDs, etc) but didn't take anything. They used a huge rock to shatter the window. Apparently there were a few other cars that got the same treatment in the pay lot across from the People's Building parking lot on P St NE as well. Nothing was visible in the car, so my guess is that this is just the beginning of summer petty crime. Not too much we can do about it, but I figured I should let the neighborhood(s) know.
