I read your post today on the listserv looking for a landscaper. I highly recommend Joe Arnold. He has done my yard and those of several neighbors in Bloomingdale and around DC. He is a landscape designer and installs as well. He is easy to work with and his fees are quite reasonable. How reasonable? Well, a Thomas Street neighbor who Joe did work for (not landscaping (Joe can do almost any kind of home renovation)) actually paid Joe more than his estimate because the neighbor felt that the fee was too low for the work done.
Joe has done many large properties, but loves our Bloomingdale yards. Their small size makes for some unique design challenges, which he enjoys working out. He can do planting designs, create fountains, install automatic irrigation systems, lighting, etc. Whatever you want. And he does all his own work.
I'm happy to introduce you or you can contact him directly at
