Interested in voting in tonight's BCA elections?
See the clarifying note:
This year the eligibility requirements for election voting are the same requirements the BCA has followed every year since the BCA bylaws were revised on October 15, 2007. Pursuant to Article IV of the BCA bylaws, members are eligible to vote in an election if they meet both of the following requirements:
1b. Payment of current dues is a qualification for membership and for voting.
[AND]
It is important to note that the BCA’s fiscal year runs from October 1st until September 30th. As such, the 2013 fiscal year ended on September 30, 2013 and the 2014 fiscal year began on October 1, 2013.
For this year’s election, the Article IV (1b) requirement is met if a member pays his/her 2014 dues before the election begins during the meeting. In order to facilitate a smooth voting process, the BCA Treasurer and Financial Secretary will be available at the meeting site to accept 2014 dues beginning at 6:30pm the evening of the election. It would be helpful if members paid 2014 dues prior to the meeting. If you would like to pay your dues and/or verify whether your 2014 dues have been paid, please contact the BCA Financial Secretary, Dianne Barnes (Dianne_brns@yahoo.com).
For this year’s election, the Article IV (1c) requirement was met if a member paid his/her 2013 dues no later than September 21, 2013. If you would like to verify whether your 2013 dues were paid by September 21, 2013, please contact the BCA Financial Secretary, Dianne Barnes (Dianne_brns@yahoo.com).

lc. The Association's fiscal year shall be from October 1 to September 30. In the
election of officers, only those members who have paid their membership dues at
least thirty days before the election are eligible to vote. (Adopted 1/28/91)
