Dear Neighbors -
After a lot of thought, we’ve decided to find another home for our dear cat Tubbs. We’ve had Tubbs for 5 years and have grown very attached to him, so we don’t do this lightly. He prefers a quiet house without a lot of change, which isn't something we can offer with a baby due to arrive any day now.
Tubbs is a 5-year-old male cat that loves his humans as well as his food. His favorite activities are chasing treats, being pet, and sleeping somewhere warm, preferably a lap. He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, but that seems to keep him out of mischief and more focused on being with his owners.
Tubbs will do best as the only pet in the home, and without kids. Routine is important to him. He is very much an inside cat and has never been outdoors. Loud noises and other animals he sees outdoors sometimes scare him and his fear occasionally makes him aggressive towards one of us. This happens about every 6 months and if we weren’t having a kid, we’d never even consider writing this email. Unfortunately, after trying to prepare him for baby sounds and new routines, we’ve learned the chaos and crying and changes associated with a newborn are not going to work for Tubbs.
If you or anyone you know can offer Tubbs a safe home and the love that he deserves, please contact us. Please feel free to share this with anyone you know who might be interested - and we're happy to answer any questions and talk more about Tubbs anytime.
