See this message from a Bloomingdale resident:
I'm
looking for a reputable contractor to repair the front gutter on my rowhouse.
In particular the gutter/cornice on the front of the turret (see photo). It
seems to me that there used to be an internal gutter there but someone years
ago must have covered over it and removed the downspout. Since I've owned the
rowhouse the rain water just sheets off and has even dripped down the interior
wall, which has slowly been deteriorating the plaster wall inside. Any
recommendations by readers of the Bloomingdale blog would be
appreciated.
Thanks for the recommendation. Just curious what the magnitude of the repair cost was? Also, did Cole Roofing use scaffolding or were they able to repair it with a tall extension ladder?
ReplyDeleteHave any other residents dealt with a similar repair?
Thanks in advance!
We recently used Cole Roofing to fix our doghouse skylight and while the work was great (and price was right), I found the company to be very disorganized - to the point that I had to send them an e-mail saying I was going to leave negative feedback with Urban Referrals. It was very minor stuff (all communication-related issues by a certain office manager) so maybe things have improved and they got rid of her. But it left a terrible taste in my mouth.
ReplyDeleteAs an alternative, I've used AACES home improvement for other gutter/roof repairs and found them to also be great - though a bit pricier. Here's their contact info:
