And the 2014 RAMMYs nominees are ...
Restaurant and culinary awards season is in full swing, and that means its time for the annual restaurant award nominations from the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, the RAMMYs.
The annual awards are shifting a bit this year, with a new venue and a handful of new awards. New for this year are two different new brunch categories: "best upscale casual brunch" and "best everyday casual brunch," as well as a "quick bites" category for fast-casual restaurants.
Other new categories include service program of the year and separate awards for wine, beer and cocktails. In prior years, there was one category for wine and one for beverage/mixology that typically pitted beer programs against cocktails.
The winners will be named on June 22.
