construction along Florida Avenue NW between North Capitol Street and 9th Street NW -- starting Monday, 03-17-2014

ANC 5E06 Commissioner Teri Janine Quinn mentioned this news item at last night's meeting of the Bates Area Civic Association:

Starting on March 17, there will be significant construction along Florida Ave between N. Capitol and 9th St, NW, to work on gutters, sidewalks, and pavement.  It is scheduled to last for 5 weeks with work on every day except Sunday.  There will be parking restrictions and traffic reduced to one lane at times, so expect traffic congestion.
