As we celebrate Global Youth Service Day 2014
      
Everyone wants our public schools to thrive so every student in DC has the gift of a world class education.  We all have an important role to play ensuring this goal is reached.  Do you have a few hours to give helping to make Langley STEM Elementary School located at 101 T street NE a world class school?  Your hard work will be well rewarded with bright futures for our kids.
    
Eckington, Bloomingdale and Edgewood step up, roll out and make it happen!
   
What will you be doing?
 
Building benches and picnic tables for a new outdoors classroom near the main school garden beds. Adding more raised beds to the main garden.
 
Creating colorful Doctor Seuss book cover murals in the hallways of the school
   
Transforming landscape plots along the West side of the school into garden beds for individual classes
     
Painting STEM themed murals in stairwells. inspiration quotes, building educational tools designed to help develop math and reading skills while being fun at the same time.
  
Something for everyone to do !
