This project wouldn’t be where it is today - potentially less than a year away from breaking ground – if it wasn’t for residents like you who have invested your time and heart to make this redevelopment special. With your participation, suggestions, ideas and help, we have created a plan that will reconnect the communities surrounding the McMillan site, and bring both beautiful park space and much desired amenities long absent from the area. But as close as we are to reaching the finish line, we’re not there yet.
We have one final Zoning Commission hearing next Tuesday night the 13th, and we need you there standing by our side. We understand how busy everyone’s lives are, and how hard it is even to make a commitment of even a few hours on a Tuesday evening. But this night is different. This is your night. Our team has finished presenting plans to the Zoning Commission, and now they want to hear from you.
If you haven’t already committed to attend, please click here to RSVP for Tuesday night’s final Zoning Hearing.
This is it, your last opportunity to share your experiences, your reasons for supporting the project and your hope for the future. Take the opportunity afforded to you as citizens of your community and make your voice heard.
With your help, we can bring the fences down!
Sincerely,
Anne Corbett

It's About You!. Not about all the money this team at VMP have been sucking out of the DC budget for years. It's not about the Baltimore public relations firm Fontaine and Company they paid our tax dollars to over $30,000 to undermine our legitimate voice in opposition to the behemoth "monstrosity on Michigan Ave."
ReplyDeleteFrom the actual Fonaine VMP documents I quote.
goals from the vmp-Fontaine docments
-"neutralize the opposition"
-"create the overall impression of local community support"
-"Fontaine team will execute all work on behalf of the coalition"
-"We will schedule meetings with councilmembers, make phone calls , write letters"
Barry and friends, Anonypants etc. you can stay home and enjoy writing smug comments on your computers,, you really don't need to do anything, because support for the VMP/DMPED mediocrity, private real estate investment scam, is being created for you,
BY PROFESSIONALS at Jamie Fontaine. A carpet bagging , fake grassroots, corporate SHILL of the Astroturf variety. Who have the GAUL to call us "outside agitators". Sure like National Trust For Historic Preservation is invading Bloomingdale from the Watergate in SW!!
Thanks alot for your loyalty to your own children's future in the concrete canyons that we need for a park space. The zoning hearing is a landslide of strong, informed, and totally DC bred opposition. Goodbye VMP, VAMPIRE from the suburbs, Texas, Baltimore, goodbye mediocrity on Michigan Ave, BYe, Bye....
