It's McMillan time at the D.C. Zoning Commission: Hearings begin on 2.1M-square-foot project

Staff Reporter- Washington Business Journal

Among the longest-running development soap operas in the District, the redevelopment of the 25-acre McMillan Sand Filtration Plant, is about to go under the bright lights of the D.C. Zoning Commission.
...
While it seems, just from my Twitter feed, that everybody's got an opinion on McMillan, only four people have signed up so far for tonight's hearing, and one each for the two follow-up hearings. That said, zoning officials expect the public to show, in droves. There's no need to sign up in advance.
...
Like I wrote when the HPRB demonstrated its skepticism, it's more likely the project will be tweaked further to please the commission and eventually approved.
And there will be much rejoicing.

And yelling.
