FRIENDS of McMILLAN PARK McMillan Park's Future Could Be Scary Without Your Help! NOVEMBER 2014 Dear McMillan Park Supporters: We have 3 crucial opportunities in the coming weeks to make our voices heard on the future of McMillan Park. We also need donations to support our ongoing legal battle against the developer backed by the Gray Administration, Kenyan McDuffie, and Muriel Bowser. Facing the following hearings without your vocal and financial support could prove frightening! Mayor’s Agent hearing on the proposed demolition of the park’s underground filtration cells -- Monday, November 3rd, 9:30 AM National Capital Planning Commission meeting on protecting the park’s historic vistas -- Thursday, November 6th, 1:00 PM DC Council roundtable on the proposed giveaway of the public parkland to a private developer -- Wednesday, November 12th, 10:00 AM  We need you to testify at, or at least attend, these hearings. If you are unable to attend in person, please submit written testimony. It is very important to make our voices heard and presence felt at these critical events.
