Does anyone have any recommendations for getting mail delivered correctly? I've had two items never make it to me over the past two months and I'm constantly getting mail meant for other addresses. I called the main supervisor (took me several days of calling daily to finally reach a live person) and she blamed it on a new person on the route because of the shooting at the electronics store on Florida ave but this has been going on for years... Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
if Don isnt your carrier, you are in the desert. they come and go, they dont care. they dont read the addresses, they just need to get it out of their pouch and off the truck. they figure if its close enough, you will deliver it to the right place. its ridiculous. if Don IS your carrier, introduce yourself. talk to him. he has been doing it for 1000 years and is good at it. if he knows you you can bet you will get good service. that is NOT to say you will not if he doesnt know you...it just doesnt hurt. knowing your ups guy and fedex guy(s) is wise too.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm not usually home when they deliver the mail (usually at about 5pm) but maybe I can leave a note. The few times I have seen someone it's been both a man and a woman so I don't know if Don is my mail person
ReplyDeleteThis is also a recurring problem on my block -- the unit block of W Street. Mareme, would you share the name and phone number of the main supervisor? Perhaps if enough of us call they'll start to care.

ReplyDeleteYes Yes YES. The problem of mis-delivered mail is HUGE and inexcusable. Mail addressed to folks on my block AS WELL as neighboring blocks are delivered to my address regularly. It feels like a deliberate avoidance of extra work rather than accidental. I've tried calling Brentwood office. Phone just rings. Next step to write but where?
