attempted robbery around 8:00 am this morning at U & North Capitol St NW -- with gun

I actually saw this guy and heard the girl scream... The police are aware and on the lookout. 
            

There was an attempted robbery about an hour ago in the alley at the intersection of the unit block of u street Nw and north Capitol Nw. The perp was an African American male, about 5'10-6'0 wearing a navy blue jacket with a hood, dark pants and dark shoes. He had a gun but broke contact when the victim screamed. Last seen going west in Crispus Attucks Park. Notably, he seemed to be roaming the alley looking for a victim, as he targeted the individual only after she exited the back of a nearby row house.
