About the Event:
The world is facing more conflict. Income inequality continues to grow both here in D.C. and across the globe. We are facing increasing threat from a changing climate. Many of us are feeling the pain many parts of our world are experiencing.

But there are increasing numbers of people focused on raising their individual and the collective consciousness - embracing truth, love, gratitude and compassion in the present rather than living in fear. How can we fuel ourselves within to persevere and share our gifts in the midst of all this conflict?

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is an amazing technology that gives us the strength to thrive from within - with truth as our identity in the oneness of the universe. Seizing the peace and power within during these stressful times will enable us to seize our inner love while serving others at a time of great need. With yoga kriyas (or sets of exercises) and profound meditative practices, Kundalini Yoga is a unique and powerful practice that complements other yoga and spiritual practices well.

Kundalini Yoga is for Everyone - It is practical but also very powerful.  It works to quickly give you grace, balance, and most of all, the ability to remain calm, centered and clear throughout life's challenges.  As you practice Kundalini Yoga you will grow.  You will gain new perspectives and capacities, as well as habits that support a healthy lifestyle.  The best part is, you don't need any previous experience in yoga in order to achieve results with your very first class.

Meets You Where You're At - Anyone can do Kundalini Yoga.  If you can breathe and lean in the right direction, you will benefit.  It balances the glandular system, and strengthens the nervous system so you feel more vibrant and alive.

Takes You Where You Want to Go - Kundalini Yoga gives you the experience of your highest consciousness.  It is a technology which can lead you to the sacred purpose of your life.

Namaste! Sat Nam? - "Sat" means Truth; "Nam" means Identity.  When we say "Sat Nam" we acknowledge our mutual divine identity in which we are united in Universal Truth.  Read: Does Kundalini Yoga complement your Vinyasa (Hatha) Yoga Practice?

Join us at 6AM every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning to explore the technology of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation.  All levels are welcome.  Each class is unique and will provide a diverse experience with plenty of explanation for the new student, whether you have done yoga in the past or not. You will learn about the core elements of the practice while experiencing the depth of this powerful technology and learn about how this technology can fuel you for your future.

"The beauty of Kundalini Yoga is that in one kriya you can immediately achieve a complete physical, mental and spiritual balance.  It works so effectively and quickly because of its completeness, balance and energy.  Since any method that helps you ahieve Universal Consciousness--from prayer to dance--must eventually raise your Kundalini to accomplish it, why not start with Kundalini Yoga directly?"   ~ Yogi Bhajan

 About the teacher
Haridev Kaur (RenĂ©e Leduc Clarke) is a yogini, an advocate, an adventurer and an entrepreneur – embodying “Sat Nam” allowing truth to be her identity. Her first love is kundalini yoga, meditation and mantra – but she also enjoys yin yoga and exploring a diversity of meditation styles. She knows now that her love of the “naad” – sacred sound current – which she consciously found in 2010 actually began as a young child when she could not get enough disco music and dancing. An advocate and adventurer, she is passionate about climate change and sustainable development. She started Narayan Strategy in the fall of 2013, a policy consulting firm that helps organizations communicate clearly about science and technology. Haridev completed her Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training at Lighthouse Yoga Center in Petworth. You can learn more about Haridev at haridevkaur.com

About Samsara House 2023, (est. 2013)

"Samsara House 2023" at 36 R Street NW is an Awareness-based shared space where world-shifting communities are meshworked to experience and spread what's emerging.  Samsara House 2023 rapidly prototypes models for the new world to ignite a planetary revolution in consciousness within ten years.

Samsara House 2023’s strategy is to exemplify a gift-economy over the market economy, one that values giving over having. While all events cost at least one dollar to cover utilities, any additional contribution will go towards periodically giving half back to a socially responsible organization or cause in need that you also help identify. Going together as a river, we build a thriving community of communities and pave the way for a new world. Samsara House 2023 is a Holacracy powered organization founded by Cullen Kowalski at a row house in Bloomingdale, New Washington, D.C.

You never change things by fighting the existing reality.  To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. ~ Buckminster Fuller

Be the change you wish to see in the world. ~ Gandhi
