Dear Friends,
Our community has been growing and thriving and so has Common Good City Farm,
thanks to your support. You have made access to affordable produce,
out-of-school engagement activities for children, jobs for young
adults, and opportunities for neighbors to come together and
celebrate our unique and diverse community possible this year.
Common Good City Farm is proud to be an important part of the
neighborhood’s growth and vibrancy, ensuring that all of our
neighbors are benefiting from the strength of our community.
Will you help us make
the future even brighter?
Each season, we grow thousands of pounds of fruits and vegetables
on the farm to distribute directly to our neighbors. Due to
our presence in the community, access to fresh, affordable produce
has increased, as well as the opportunity for people of all ages
and backgrounds to join together to learn more about where their
food comes from. We
have made great strides towards achieving our goals of growing food and cultivating community on our urban farm.
But the need for nutritious food doesn’t go away with the end of
the traditional growing season, and this year, neither are
we! We recently installed a high tunnel (an
enclosed, greenhouse-like structure) so that we can grow and distribute
fresh, nutrient-dense produce all year long.
This winter, we will be growing kale, spinach, lettuce, Swiss
chard, and collard greens in the new high tunnel. This
addition is not only a vehicle for, but also a symbol of growth for
our farm, our organization, and our community, as we work together
to holistically meet the needs of our neighbors.
We are so excited to keep our community strong all year long. We hope that you will join us again this year
by supporting our newest initiative with a
tax-deductible gift today.
Thank you for joining us as we grow MORE food and cultivate community.
Warm regards,
Rachael Callahan
Executive Director
P.S. It's time to think about holiday gift giving. Consider
giving a donation to
Common Good City Farm in honor of a family member, friend, or
colleague. An acknowledgment with a personalized
message can be sent directly to the recipient.
