Historic Preservation Education: Here’s what’s on the next HPRB agenda (the 5% of the DCRA permits not signed off at the HPO counter at DCRA)

Below is a message from the DC Historic Preservation Office (HPO), listing items on the upcoming HPRB hearings.  Note that Ward 5’s Glenwood Cemetery is listed under “Historic Landmark Nominations.”

So if Bloomingdale were to become a designated Historic District, then any planned * major * exterior renovations that can be seen from the street would likely be forwarded from the HPO to appear on this HPRB agenda.  That would only apply to about 5% of the permits that pass through the Historic Preservation counter at DCRA.
