McMillan update from ANC5E04 Commissioner Sylvia Pinkney

From ANC5E04 Commissioner Sylvia Pinkney's Community Update, posted at the Eckington list at Google Groups:

McMillan Development
 

·         Commission on Fine Arts concept approval on 9/15/16. (The same design as previously presented at the ANC meeting in April).

·         Due date for RFP solicitation: 10/3/16.

·         Expected GC mobilization for stabilization of historic structures: Mid-December 2016

·         DGS/DPR/DMPED will host a construction kickoff meeting prior to construction to introduce General Contractor and answer questions specific to construction mitigation, work hours, egress, etc.

·         (DGS and DPR) will be developing a website to keep everyone updated throughout the project and using the neighborhood list-servs

·         Timeline for construction: Stabilization activities begin: December 2016

·         Demolition and land development activities: 2017

·         Community Center/Park Construction: Spring 2018 through Spring 2019
