a large set of pedicabs parked off the public alley in the rear of 12 T Street NW

The photo below shows what appeared overnight behind 12 T Street, NW.

Any idea whether some type of permit is needed?

  2. We were wondering the same thing. Yesterday, January 19th around 11:15am, at least 5 carts were parked in the middle of T Street undergoing what appeared to be inspections. A person was standing at every cart tinkering with it. I was parked on T Street and when they saw me driving up to the Stop sign, they rolled the carts to the edge of the street. Inspections also appeared to be occurring in the backyard of the house.

  3. Are they on your property? What's the problem? You chose to live in the city. That means that, gasp, city stuff might happen near your house and there might not be a law against it. There's plenty of housing out in Stafford and Chantilly and Bowie. In all of those places you can call your HOA and complain to your heart's content.

    2. Sprawl, they were not on my property but in my neighborhood. Unlike me, 3rd generation Bloomingdale raised, you must be new to the community and appear to really struggle with the true meaning of community, what it takes to build one up, Bloomingdale's rich history and the many sacrifices that families like mine have made over the generations to this neighborhood so that people like you might want to move in and live here. So no, I will not be moving to Stafford, Chantilly and Bowie just because of a potential concern in the neighborhood. Bloomingdale is my home and this mindset that you have is so foreign to my family. No, we don't turn our heads away in this neighborhood to potential problems or ignore our neighbors in need. No, we roll up our sleeves and get to work.No need to respond since your response will not be read.

    3. You didn't answer my question: What's the problem? The pedicabs appear to be parked in an orderly manner. They aren't blocking the alley. They don't appear to be a nuisance in any way; furthermore, if your neighbor is keeping their pedicabs back there it will likely result in more utilization of the alley. More utilization of the alley means more eyes in the alley. More eyes in the alley means that the alley is a safer place. I've ignored your other points as they don't appear to further the discussion.
