Residential
Mechanical Street Sweeping Starts March 1
Parking Enforcement Of
Street Sweeping Violations To Begin
Tomorrow, March 1, the Department of Public Works (DPW) will begin residential mechanical street sweeping. The District’s residential street sweeping program is an important tool used to keep the streets clean. Motorists are asked to obey parking signs posted with the days of the weeks and hours of the day when parking restrictions will be enforced. To remind motorists of the restrictions, DPW will issue warnings between Wednesday, March 1 and Friday, March 10, 2017 to vehicles parked during the sweeping periods. After March 10, parked vehicles may be towed where parking is prohibited to allow the sweepers access to the curb lane. DPW would like to thank motorists in advance for keeping the curb lanes clear for street sweeping. Last year, with your help, we were able to collect 2,000 tons of litter and pollutants from District streets. We look forward to working together again for a successful street sweeping season.

Kevin

Anyone know if sweeping will restart as usual in Bloomingdale? I know it's been suspended, but did DPW ever get notice/request to resume?
