Virtual Assistant, Advisory Neighborhood Commission 5E
The Virtual Assistant (VA) is a part-time contract employee of the Commission. The VA serves as an assistant to the Commission, ensuring that all assigned necessary tasks for the efficient operation of the Commission are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This position will pay a flat fee of $500.00 per month, 12 months per year, and is anticipated to require an average monthly time commitment of 25 hours.
     

VIRTUAL ASSISTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain and operate ANC 5E website. upload, remove, and or revise ANC 5E documents per ANC 5E Vice Chairperson’s instructions.
  • Draft, review and/or edit ANC 5E letters, memos, resolutions, and other correspondence as
    necessary and forward to ANC 5E Chairman
    and Correspondence Secretary for finalization
    and signature.
  • Finalize ANC 5E correspondence letters, resolutions, forms and faxes on ANC 5E letterhead per Correspondence Secretary’s instructions. Return to Chairman and Correspondence Secretary for final review, signature, and distribution to appropriate agencies.
  • Assist the Treasurer in preparing financial reports.
  • Update and maintain ANC 5E bylaws and policies and procedures.
  • Three to five days ahead of ANC 5E public monthly and COW meetings make sure the meeting place and all necessary equipment is available.
  • Act as liaise with various District offices related to constituent services and ANC 5E routine operational concerns on behalf of the 5E Commission upon the request of a commissioner.
  • Complete special projects, approved by the ANC 5E Chairman, and other duties as assigned.
  • As needed, in the absence of the Recording Secretary, take minutes during ANC 5E public monthly meeting.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Working knowledge of WORD, Excel, and conversion to PDF.
  • Experience in maintaining and operating a website.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including government officials and the general public.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to attend all ANC 5E public monthly meetings.
  • Experience in recording and finalizing meeting minutes.
