TRAFFIC ADVISORY: 2018 Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon

(Washington, DC)- The Metropolitan Police Department wishes to advise the public that the 2018 Rock ‘N’ Roll Marathon is scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018.  In order to facilitate this event there will be no vehicular traffic allowed along the routes of the race. 

The race is scheduled to begin at approximately 7:00 am; however some street closures will begin as early as 2:00 am.  All streets affected by this event are expected to be reopened at approximately 3:00 pm.

The public should expect parking restrictions along the entire marathon route and should be guided by the posted emergency no parking signage.  The public should also expect enforcement of these parking restrictions which may include ticketing and towing along the entire marathon route.

RACE ROUTES / STREET CLOSURES

Half Marathon/Full Marathon Turns:

• Start on Constitution Ave NW just east of 14^th Street NW
• Right on Virginia Ave NW
• Right on 18^th Street NW
• Left on E Street NW (eastbound lanes)
• Left on 19^th Street NW
• Right on Constitution Ave NW
• Left on 23^rd Street NW
• Enter Lincoln Memorial Circle
• Merge Right onto Parkway Dr/Beach Volleyball courts
• Continue straight onto Rock Creek and Potomac Pkwy
• Right at Virginia Ave NW and merge onto I St NW
• Continue on I St NW to Potomac River Frwy
• Right onto Potomac River Frwy and continue south to horseshoe turn
• Continue north on Potomac River Frwy
• Exit left onto 27^th St NW
• Right onto Virginia Ave NW
• Right onto Rock Creek Pkwy
• Continue north on Rock Creek Pkwy
• Merge Left on Shoreham Drive NW
• Right on Calvert Street NW
