Hi Everyone,
I want to let everyone know (and ask you to spread the word) that we will continue to distribute food stamps at the 14&U and BFM as we always have.. You may have read that 1700 farmers markets nationwide and some in DC will be affected by the closing of the NOVA DIA GROUP 31 July 2018. The Post had an article about this last week.
We use a different machine and a different vendor than the NOVO DIA GROUP so we will not be affected.
But we want to share ways you can help the markets that have been using Nova Dia so that their customers who use food stamps (SNAP) at the markets can continue to do so.

Contact
your Congressional offices to ask them
to sign-on to letters being led in the Senate by Senator Debbie Stabenow,
and in the House by Congressman Jim McGovern. The letters express
concern over the impact of NDG's shutdown, and will be sent to USDA FNS.
- Sign-on to a letter encouraging USDA FNS to reimburse markets that are forced to purchase their own equipment due to the shutdown. View letter here. (Sign-on must occur by MONDAY, July 16.)
- Sign-on to a letter encouraging NDG to seek acquisition. View letter here. (Sign-on must occur by MONDAY, July 16.)
