Subject: [LeDroitPark] Shooting on 200 block of W St NW
Good afternoon,
MPD’s
Third District is currently investigating a shooting that occurred last
night on the 200 block of W Street NW. One adult has checked into an area
hospital with a gunshot wound. There may continue to be street closures in the
area.
My
team and I are coordinating with MPD and monitoring developments as they become
available. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call MPD at
202-727-9099. Additionally, if you live near 2nd and W Streets
NW and have a private security camera that faces the street, please
contact MPD at the number above. If you’d like to participate in DC’s Private

This
incident occurred in Police
Service Area 306. Police Service Areas (PSAs) are how MPD
divides up its Police Districts (Ward 1 is part of Districts 3 and 4). PSAs
regularly meet to engage with the community on issues of public safety.
