Hi Everyone,

Join us this Thursday, October 11, from 6 - 8 pm,  for a needle felting workshop to make a decorative pumpkin with Rock Paper Plant.

Needle Felting Workshop: Make Your Own Decorative Pumpkin with Rock Paper Plant
Thursday, October 11, 6-8 pm

It’s decorative gourd season! These needle-felted pumpkins are the perfect addition to your fall decor. In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of how to create felted structures all while creating your very own needle-felted pumpkin. Needle felting is an easy and often relaxing way to create 3D sculptures out of wool.

No experience necessary. All materials will be provided.

Tickets are $45. Sign up for 2 Rock Paper Plant workshops and save $10 or sign up for all three and save $15.

Orchidama: An Orchid Kokedama Workshop with Rock Paper Plant

Tuesday, November 13, 6:30-8 pm

In Japanese, “kokedama” translates from “koke” meaning “moss” and “dama” meaning “ball.” In this workshop, we’ll teach students how to make and grow orchids in a beautiful moss ball planter. The moss ball provides an interesting, organic display for your orchid. Kokedama can be kept in a dish or hung in a window.

No experience or green thumbs needed! All materials, including plants and care instructions, will be provided.
Tickets are $58. Sign up for 2 Rock Paper Plant workshops and save $10 or sign up for all three and save $15.

Living Wall Hangings: A Mounted Tropical Plants Workshop with Rock Paper Plant

Thursday, December 6, 6:30-7:30 pm

Bring a bit of the jungle into your home! In this workshop, you will learn how to make a beautiful living wall hanging with tropical vining plants. In their natural environment, these plants grow on rocks or trees, not in the pots you see at the garden store. You’ll learn how grow these plants vertically with a little bit of moss and tree bark and leave with your own mounted plant.

No experience or green thumbs needed! All materials, including plants and care instructions, will be provided.
Tickets are $55. Sign up for 2 Rock Paper Plant workshops and save $10 or sign up for all three and save $15.

Rock Paper Plant is the brainchild of Alicia Mazzara and Cielo Contreras, two dope, curly-haired kweens making and growing things in the District of Columbia. Questions? Email rockpaperplant@gmail.com

This workshop series is hosted in conjunction with Common Good City Farm at St. George's Church.

Many thanks!
