We reached out to Urban Forestry Division of @DDOTDC and learned the tree was hazardous given the extent of decay in the base of the tree, despite a full canopy. 1st pic is the tool they use to measure decay, other pics are how far into the trunk it can go (indicating decay) pic.twitter.com/2nXkXmznMU
