Greetings Neighbors,

Please see the attached flyer for the upcoming community meeting to discuss the field improvements at the Park at LeDroit. The meeting will be Thursday, January 31 at 7pm at St. George's Episcopal Church, 160 U Street NW. This will be an opportunity to see DPR, DGS, and the contractors' (AMT Engineering and Bennett Group) proposal for the field improvements and for you to provide feedback.

Brief History of the Project:

• The field at the Park at LeDroit is in need of improvements. The old school's foundation was not properly removed so construction materials are surfacing, creating a dangerous play environment and preventing trees from growing
• With the help of Councilmember Nadeau, the Friends of the Park at LeDroit secured funding in the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget for field improvements to the Park at LeDroit
• DGS selected AMT Engineering and Bennett Group to carry out this project
• On January 31, 2019 - DGS, DPR, and the contractors will present the plan to the community and seek feedback with the hopes of starting the field remediation this Spring
