what were the rents in Bloomingdale in 1937?

Thanks to new DC Office of Planning Interim Director Andrew Trueblood for tweeting out this map of DC rents back in 1937.

DC rents by block in 1937.

Note the range of rents in Bloomingdale.

In general, the rents from U Street NW northward were higher than the rents south of U Street NW.

The dark blue shaded blocks had rents of $50 to $74.99, while the brown shaded blocks had rents of $40 to $49.00 -- and the light blue shaded blocks had rents of $30.00 to $39.00.
