View this email in your browser Neighbors, Today we commemorate the life and legacy of an American hero and civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. People across the District and the country will step up to lend a hand or attend an event in remembrance. Earlier today, I joined with residents from across the District marching in the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade. I was proud to meet Martin Luther King, III, and lead a Ward 5 delegation that included students from Catholic University, Dunbar High School, and Brookland Middle School, as well as members of the Ward 5 Cure Violence team and Ward 5 residents.
