Thanks to Carlos for his suggestions:
I'm Carlos, and I live on V
St NW. I hope you are doing well and safe at home.
I was just thinking that you
could publish a call for people to identify lone elderly people or people with
disabilities in their blocks and try to check on them during this probably long
"social distancing" period. These people are usually those that
suffer more in disasters or health emergencies because of their isolation,
since many a time they don't someone to call, to go to the groceries or take
them to the hospital.
Another idea is incentivize
close neighbors to go for the groceries or errands for others if they know a
household has fallen ill. We shouldn't have sick people going to the
supermarket. It's quite easy to help each other with some very basic
neighborhood awareness.
best regards,
Carlos
