Turning Toward the Future with Caution and Hope
A
Word from Bishop Budde
Bishop Budde, along with Bishop Sutton of Baltimore
and Bishop Goff of Virginia, have provided guidance to the
parishes in their respective Dioceses for a phased approach to
reagthering as Church. It provides strict yet broad guidance
following Public Health indicators.
St.George's Vestry has already begun the work of
what a phased approach to reopening would be for St. George's
specifically, within the guidelines of Bishop Budde's phased
approach. The Vestry is collecting all of the questions we need
to ask in every phase such that we think through all of the
details. Once all of the questions are formulated the Vetstry
will answer those questions in a well thought out manner with the
goal of producing a St. George's specific plan for each phase.
The Vestry welcomes all input.

Outreach:
Serving the Community
|
|
Kwanzaa Kitchen: Janis has
been able to come up with a unique way in which we will continue
to feed the hungry in this important ministry. It involves fewer
than 6 people and we will pack the food to go and place it
outside on tables for people to take their breakfast with them.
We will continue this way until we are able to gather groups
together again.

|
Making Masks: Currently
there is a national shortage of masks, and these masks are vital
as they can be worn over the single use N95 masks and allow them
to be worn for up to a week. A collague has been sewing these for
the past few nights, and they are an incredibly easy way to help
our community. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to make
them: https://www.nytimes.com/article/how-to-make-face-mask-coronavirus.html
We will collect them at the church and then send
them where they are needed most. Please contact the Rev
Jenkins if you
have made masks that need to be picked up.
