The D.C. Historic Preservation Office announces the launch of HistoryQuest DC, a GIS-based web map that provides historical data on approximately 127,000 extant buildings in Washington, D.C.  The historic data is easily retrievable and can be queried and mapped, providing a new tool for illustrating the city’s building history and patterns of urban development.

Rustik Tavern was Bloomingdale’s first neighborhood bar in decades when it opened in 2010.  But after six years, owner Diton Pashaj closed the brick-oven pizza and beer spot last night.
“We are so grateful for the opportunity to have spent these past years with you, getting to know this amazing community and creating lasting memories,” the restaurant wrote on Facebook.
In many ways, Rustik Tavern helped pave the way for all the bars and restaurants that have since turned the tiny neighborhood into a dining and drinking destination.

Shooting lessons.  Have you always wanted to learn how to handle and shoot a gun? Come out for a 1 to 1.5 hour lesson. Time depends on your preference and how many different (and types of) guns you want to try out. -- pistol, revolver, rifle, shotgun.

Learn gun-safety basics as well as proper handling and marksmanship / target practice at an indoor range in the Lorton, VA area.

No need to be a 2d amendment fanatic -- guns are legal now in D.C., might as well know how to use one, even if you don't own one.

Everything provided for you (eye/ear protection, guns, ammo, targets). Just bring your valid ID (from any state) and a willingness to learn. Cost depends on duration, usually $150 for a small group of 1-3, plus ammo and range fees of about $25 p.p.  Have JD great feedback from the Bloomingdale community, 20 years' experience shooting guns, and have helped demystify the shooting experience for many folks who previously were either not interested in, or apprehensive of, firearms.  E-mail andy226a@gmail.com thanks.

I was wondering if you could ask whether anyone knows whether the police ever identified the caliber of the bullets that killed Seth Rich this summer. It seems as if there is a slow but steady trickle of unfortunate rumors flying around regarding this tragic murder. This Fox story (http://www.fox5dc.com/news/218883023-story) mentions two items I had not heard before, one being that there were no shell casings found, and the other that there may have been a private security camera that picked up possibly relevant footage.
