occupants of truck on unit block of Randolph Place NW selling drugs, etc.

I am posting this message from a resident on Randolph Place NW in Bloomingdale in PSA 501. This message has also been posted to the MPD-5D list at Yahoogroups:

Residents of Randolph Place, N.W. (unit block) and surrounding streets, please take note: There has been a black Chevy Avalanche truck (newer model, 4 doors, plastic pick-up bed cover), VA tag XKT- 9213, with two black males (one bearded) sitting in it on Randolph Place, N.W., for the past 4 or more days. They are constantly in the car, and seem to be selling drugs, as people on bikes and on foot stop by their window. They may also be scoping out cars and/or houses, and noting the comings and goings of residents. The two men just sit there and appear to eat, drink, get high, and essentially live in the truck. Please keep an eye out for them, and if you see anything suspicious, report their location and activity to 911, identifying the truck and tag. They keep moving the truck every hour or so to a different portion of the block - and now that the block is being resurfaced by a road crew, they may have moved their activities to a different nearby block during the road work, so everyone look out please.

    Scott,

Has anyone reported this to 9-1-1 prior to your posting just now?

  3. I don't know if this has been reported to 911 before, but it'd definitely a serious problem that needs to be dealt with swiftly by the police before something more serious happens. This truck also constantly parks in the residents spots behind the Nebraska condo that they pay for btw... This is a great block and there is no room for this type of activity to drag this area back down...

  4. You mean to drive the home values and premium on whiteness down?

  5. it's sad that you equate fighting crime with whiteness. so many lost souls here in dc, you don't even know what the right way is. no sense of it. no sense at all.

  6. No, I am equating what you've done to my street. There aren't very many people that look like me there now - I wonder why?

  7. and what is it that you wonder?

  8. I wonder why you crackers won't stay out of my hood!

  9. Maybe because we ended segregation a couple years back...?

  10. oh dear, too good of an opportunity to make a joke, why aren't there people who "look like you" on your street?

My best guess is that it's most likely because you are a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal who believes in segregation, not too many of those around anymore. Or maybe you have some sort of deformity, either way I encourage you to get over yourself.

Oh and just because bad syntax bothers me, you can't equate "what somemone has done to a street" without further elaboration. That makes no sense. For the verb "to equate" to have meaning, one thing has to be equated with another. A unilateral equation is no equation at all.

hahahaha. maybe we should host a "get to know a cracker" day. then maybe you could talk to some of your new paler neighbors. or just talk to some whiteness and ask them. most speak english fluently.

  12. Dear Anonymous who is upset with caucasians, crackers, whitey not staying out of your hood:

I look like you and now live in Bloomingdale but grew up 20 minutes away from here in PG County. The reason why no one on your street looks like us and that the crackers won't stay out of your hood is because there were a plethora of black folks who drank the Kool-Aid and thought 20 years ago that the grass was greener in PG County.

It's 2010 and black people need to start taking accountability for a portion of their residential and cultural displacement. We let Bloomingdale go, not the other way around (Look at the Austin neighborhood of Chicago to get an idea of what happens when black folks appreciate and hold on to what they believe in).

That, Anonymous, is why the crackers won't stay out of your hood and the majority of people who look like us in this neighborhood can only afford to rent.

  13. BACK ON TOPIC: Let's correct the initial post with some additional information that clarifies the situation -- one of the two gentlemen lives on the block of Randolph Place, and he spoke to me, explaining that they do NOT commit any illegal activity. They're just hanging out.
