Subject: hose running across 1st Street at Adams NW
A poorly constructed wooden ramp has been installed to provide a hose of some kind running across first street.
This morning, the ramp was splintered in the center, so I very closely drove over it, only to have pieces of wood fly up and strike the bottom of my car. Something apparently got stuck under my car, and I dragged it for several blocks.
I couldn't tell if any damage was done, but I am shocked that such a crappy, dangerous wooden ramp is place across the one road I need to drive on to get in and out of my block. The ramp is almost invisible at night, and from my house I can hear vehicles speeding over it, with the clatter of the boards.
Surely there is some better solution.
