All Donations stay With Children’s. Children’s
needs over 100 units of whole blood each week. Each donation of
whole blood provides transfusions for 4-5 children. Children’s
treats over 1400 children with sickle cell. Sickle cell patients
need blood transfusions every 4-6 weeks.
If you want to give platelets you will be
contacted by Children’s as there are additional requirements.
Platelets are desperately needed.
