talk of a neighborhood becoming an historic district always seems so contentious. doesn't it seem like there should be some sort of middle ground between a neighborhood that anything can be built as a matter of right ( based on zoning) and the tight and red taped path of an official historic district?
Doesnt it seem that anything that can cause so much rift in a community should be fixed?
here is a link to the historic preservation office.

on the other hand
this house looks beautiful to me.
seems like a good reno job too.
its MLS#: DC6229429, in case you wanna buy it.
not crazy cool like this house
which despite a lower price still hasnt sold.
while i dont know anyone that can afford it, i'm still suprised it hasn't sold yet.
if you do buy it, please invite me to the house warming party.
