Seems the building that's sitting on the land that St. Martins wants to turn into a large low-income development is now pending historical designation.
Odd huh?
Strikes me as a bit shady that this has just come up. Not that we dont have wonderfully historic and worthy of saving buildings here, but you gotta wonder how this slid in.

It doesn't strike me anywhere near as shady as St. Martin's trying to get all of their (out of the neighborhood) parishoners to support the project - to prove how much "civic support" they have. Especially when they've gone out of their way not to inform their immediate neighbors what they were up to...
true. i certainly have written about that here.
Seems to me like St. Martins has some sophisticated opponents.
i doubt that anyone that reads this blog doubts that!
