I'm looking for recommendations (or anti-recommendations) for a high-quality exterior house painter (licensed, bonded, insured, etc) that others have used in the Bloomingdale area.
We used Gordon Franks at Optima Designs (301-984-2322) for getting the whole house painted after we got it repointed, and they did a great job and were quick and priced comparably with other companies. They've always shown up when they said they would (which is ridiculously difficult with home improvement contractors) and are communicative. They've since done interior painting for us too.
We used Darwin Bonilla 240-606-6518 and his crew to pressure-wash and scrape paint from the front brick, window trim, and cornice and paint the window trim, cornice, some details. Happy with their work. He was recommended by our neighbors who used him for a variety of indoor and outdoor work. Also my neighbor recommended Darwin to a few friends who have also been happy with his work. Pretty good communication.
